Chain menu guide
McDonald's Ireland's vegan range is narrower than Costa or Subway. Veggie Wrap (without sauce), McPlant when available, fries, hash browns and apple pies are the reliable picks.
The Veggie Wrap is vegan only without the standard sauce — ask for it sauce-free or with ketchup. McPlant rotates in and out of the menu in Ireland; check current availability.
| Item | Vegan? | Calories | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| McPlant Burger | Vegan | — | Beyond Meat patty + vegan sauce on a vegan bun. Availability rotates — check before ordering. Vegan-certified by Vegetarian Society when on menu. |
| Spicy Veggie Wrap | Vegan with swap | — | Vegan only with NO mayo. Ask for ketchup or no sauce. Base wrap, vegetable goujons (made with chickpea/veg) and salad are fine. |
| World Famous Fries | Vegan | — | Fried in vegetable oil in Ireland (UK + IE only — different from US). Vegan as served. |
| Hash Brown | Vegan | — | Vegan in Ireland — fried in the same vegetable oil as fries. |
| Apple Pie | Vegan | — | Classic apple pie is vegan in Ireland. |
Filet-O-Fish is not vegan (tartare sauce). Standard burger buns are vegan but contain milk traces (cross-contamination). Most milkshakes and McFlurries are dairy. The 'Veggie Deluxe' sandwich is vegetarian, not vegan.
